The Women’s Ministry at Skidaway Island Methodist Church is designed to engage the women of our church and community in spiritual, social, and service opportunities. Our newly formed Women’s Ministry Team is continuing to coordinate opportunities for women to gather and connect. It is vital for women of all ages and stages to meet together for support and encouragement. We hope you will find ways to connect with the women of Skidaway Island Methodist Church.

Women in the Word

We recently began a new monthly gathering called Women in the Word. This group meets on the first Sunday evening of each month, and women of all ages are invited to attend. Each month will be a “stand-alone” gathering as we take a closer look at women in the Bible. We will learn from God’s word about the impact these women had in their own season and how their lives can impact our lives for growth today.

Our next Women in the Word gatherings will be Sunday, April 7th at 6 pm in the Church Parlor and will be led by Pastor Michelle.

Growing Grace

A new small group for younger women
Led by Terry Lewis
Tuesday evenings from April 9 to May 14 at 6:00 pm

This is a small group opportunity for our younger women and will serve as a bridge to find balance between the busy young adult years and drawing strength from a faithful relationship with God. This small group will allow women to attend as schedules allow with no daily study commitments…this is a “come as you are” group where women will find friendship and support.

Women's Bible Study

Ruth: Loss, Love, & Legacy
Led by Milli Sample
Begins Monday, April 8 at 9:30 am for 7 sessions

Ruth is a women’s Bible study on the journey of Ruth’s unbearable loss, redeeming love and divine legacy. This study delves into the virtuous character of Ruth, her unique relationship with her mother-in-law Naomi, and her blossoming love with Boaz. Through this study, you’ll find connection and a loyal sister in Ruth.

Mom to Mom

Upcoming dates: Wednesdays, April 3 and April 17 at 11:00 am in the Church Parlor.

Our Mom to Mom ministry is designed to pour life back into those who spend most of their time pouring into others. It’s an opportunity to bring your heart to the table and be filled. Each meeting we hear from seasoned mom Terry Lewis as she shares insights on caring for yourself through the demanding season of parenting. Terry will communicate the difference between identity and roles and remind mommas to find both rest and purpose in God.
